The Biology Program in the newly formed Dr. James Earl Perry College of Mathematics, Computing, and Sciences at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Molecular Biology, beginning August 1, 2026. The biology program serves over 600 undergraduate majors, primarily focused on pre-health and environmental biology, and over 25 graduate students in master's (thesis and non-thesis) and post-baccalaureate biomedical certificate programs. The successful candidate will incorporate innovative approaches to teach molecular biology and biomedical courses to undergraduate and graduate students, and introductory biology courses for biology and pre-nursing students. The new faculty member will have the opportunity to develop innovative, cross-disciplinary courses in molecular biology and bioinformatics. The new faculty member is also expected to establish an independent research program that engages both undergraduate and graduate students, while actively pursuing extramural funding.
