BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

OVERVIEW :

The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for facilitating individual and group sessions with residents requiring mental health and substance abuse disorder counseling. Associated paperwork for the program is to be completed and submitted, per agency record-keeping requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES : Administrative

• Submits monthly reports and plans of action on any deficits noted.
• Meets weekly with case managers to review assigned resident progress and / or problems and provides guidance on the same.
• Attends treatment team meetings as needed to discuss resident progress and concerns.
• Meets as needed with case managers to review assigned resident progress and / or problems.
• Meets with Clinical Director weekly in regards to required clinical supervision.
