Raytheon is a world leader in high altitude imaging sensors. As such we in the Advanced Product Solutions department provide the United States Government and International Partners with remote sensing systems for time critical intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Our ISR Information and Intelligence Engineering group develops algorithms and software for processing optimizing and creating intelligence products from these sensors.

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to work on our this role you will be working with a team of collaboratively highly experienced subject matter experts across a variety of disciplines to develop and sustain next generation airborne reconnaissance systems. This is an opportunity to learn and grow your own skillset while contributing to cutting edge products depended upon every day by the warfighter.

What You Will Do

Perform software development as part of a highly skilled cross-discipline engineering team.

Provide direct support of program efforts and proposal activities.

Develop high performance Linux software in C and / or Java using software and hardware simulators.

Integrate software into larger systems in engineering and test labs.

This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Westford MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Experience with Linux C and / or Java development with a focus on application scalability and performance.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

BS Degree in Software Engineering or a related major is HIGHLY PREFERRED.

Algorithm development and / or implementation (imaging navigation communication etc.).

Linux networking or multithreaded application development.

Cybersecurity experience (PKI secure boot Linux hardening etc.).

Familiarity with imaging systems control systems navigation or ISR.

The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
