Responsibilities Work in the IR PACU of a hospital setting Patient population includes both adult and pediatric patients Involves phase 1 recovery for post-operative and post-procedural patients Three 12-hour day shifts per week with variable start times of 6 : 00, 7 : 00, or 8 : 00 am IR PACU team only responsible for recovering IR patients when floating to main PACU Call required : weekday call from 8PM-6AM; weekend call in 12-hour shifts Anticipated 2-3 call shifts per 6-week schedule period Floating may occur within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals Responsible for recovering IR PACU patients and supporting PACU operations according to unit needs Rapid response to call with a 1-hour response time required Orientation includes completion of billable modules averaging 6.5 hours Return staff must be gone for at least 90 days to be eligible as a traveler Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not eligible for this assignment Candidates must disclose any previous employment at the facility for rehire eligibility check Holiday and weekend coverage may be required RTO must be presented at time of consideration; late requests will not be approved Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of PACU specialty experience At least 1 year of ICU experience required Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS PALS certification required prior to start (not required at time of consideration) IR PACU and phase 1 recovery experience required Experience caring for pediatric patients required No licensure hits are accepted Must provide one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630820.
