Occupational Therapist Qualifications

Active New York State Occupational Therapist (OT) license required

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist

Travel OT experience preferred but not mandatory

Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

Assess patients’ physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs in a hospital and SNF setting

Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician prescriptions or referrals

Document patient progress, update clinical records, and adjust OT care plans as needed

Educate patients, families, and community members on occupational therapy best practices

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support comprehensive patient care planning

Perform related duties to advance patient outcomes and facility goals in a clinical environment
