Sr. Product Line Manager, Serum
Reporting to the Business Director for Media and Serum, the Sr. Product Line Manager, Serum, has global commercial responsibility for Corning's Serum product portfolio. The position requires interaction with individuals in all areas of Corning including Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Supply Chain Management to assure that customers' serum needs are met. The successful candidate will understand the serum supply and sales process from initial customer contact through successful manufacture of the product. The Sr. Product Line Manager in collaboration with the Business Director will be the champion of unique customer needs to make sure those are being met by our manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain effective, regular communications with global account managers, product managers, and sales specialists.
- Meet regularly with the manufacturing plant's leadership team.
- Develop marketing content / collateral and sales tools and training programs for the CLS sales organization and channel partners.
- Responsible for forecasting, financial performance tracking and business modeling.
- Pricing management and approvals.
- Monitor out-of-stock and order status situations and communicate corrective actions with manufacturing and the business team.
- Develop and maintain key customer relationships.
- Work closely with GSM and supply chain to monitor and develop regional inventory strategies.
- Cross-functional communication with internal manufacturing, quality, customer service and supply chain teams to facilitate rapid support of customer issues.
- Analyze sales and customer data to enable the sales team to protect current business and drive growth.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive products, market perception, and market direction.
- Identify new opportunities to gain a more favorable position in the market, improve profitability, or increase market share of existing products and technology through new applications.
- In conjunction with the Business Director, develop appropriate business plans and overall business strategy supported by financial, manufacturing, channel, etc. data and analysis.
Experiences / Education - Required
BS Life Sciences RequiredMasters level degree in Life Science, Business or Operations desired.4+ (ideally more) years of business experience including : product management, marketing, and / or sales in Life Science IndustryCell culture / cell biology experience desiredTravel Requirements : 10% - 20%Life Sciences / cell biology sales and marketing experienceAbility to manage cross functionally in a matrix organizationStrong knowledge of marketing tools and techniquesStrong software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Salesforce.comStrong business opportunity assessment and financial analysis skillsExcellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and proven ability to present to customers in the fieldUnderstanding of product development processExperiences / Education - Desired

The range for this position is $157,838.00 - $217,028.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
