Financial Planning Specialist

Department / Unit : Budget & Planning

Work Shift : Day (United States of America)

Salary Range : $65,102.17 - $100,908.37

Basic Function : Collect, prepare, and analyze financial data used for routine financial reporting and organizational decision making.

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science, Finance, or related field. A minimum of five years' experience in a position that involved finance / IT analysis and data management. Healthcare experience preferred. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for 1 year of experience. Strong proficiency in relational databases and spreadsheets. Ability to manage and analyze data using SQL and / or other domain specific languages. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. EPIC experience a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills are necessary to prepare accurate reports and ensure data integrity. Strong interpersonal skills required.

Albany Medical Center is seeking a Financial Planning Specialist. This is a hybrid position across IT and Finance that deals with relational databases; decision support systems; reporting and analysis. A full job description is available upon request. This reports to an Assistant Director and will have exposure to numerous members of management. Qualified candidates will have a BA in Business, Math, IT or similar and have 1-3 years of Business Analysis experience; strong analytic skills, critical thinking and a background in Microsoft SQL will be key requirements for this role.
