Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience

License : Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan

Certifications : BLS, Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care

Must-Have :

Good communication skills

Organization skills

Description :

Under general supervision, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.

Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.

Maintains clinical expertise for departmental assignments as needed.

Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians regarding patient care needs.

Documents all aspects of patient care accurately.

Supervises, directs, and delegates tasks to other Respiratory Therapists and students as assigned.

Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.

May work in either Adult ICU or Neonatal ICU.

Note : Experience in long-term care facilities only may not meet requirements.
