Our client, a respected law firm specializing in community association law, is seeking a Debt Recovery Paralegal to support attorneys in collection matters involving condominiums, townhomes, and single-family communities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and experience in collections, debt relief and / or litigation .
Responsibilities :
- Open and maintain collection files; obtain documents and coordinate directly with clients.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and proposed orders in county and district courts.
- Manage e-filing, court calendaring, and hearing or trial scheduling.
- Prepare and respond to correspondence, court inquiries, and payoff requests.
- Support discovery, trial preparation, and witness coordination.
- Conduct legal research and maintain well-organized digital and physical case files.
- Process client payments and ensure internal databases are updated accurately.
Qualifications :
High school diploma required; Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within a law firm.At least 2 years of experience or exposure to debt collection and FDCPA compliance.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with case management systems preferred.Benefits :
