Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a part-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired to support students in a K-12 school setting in Arlington, WA. This contract position spans the full school year, providing specialized educational services to visually impaired students to help them achieve their academic and personal growth goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments across grades K-12
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create accessible learning materials and environments
• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and implement strategies to meet each students unique needs
• Utilize various assistive technology and adaptive tools to enhance student learning and independence
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches as needed to maximize student success
• Participate in professional development opportunities relevant to visual impairment education
