Are you ready to shape the future of transmission pricing and rates?
Our client is seeking a dynamic professional to support their pricing, ratemaking, and tariff development efforts. This role is pivotal in driving research, creating proposals, and advocating with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to align with company objectives. This is a hybrid role with three days onsite.
Responsibilities
- Become a subject matter expert on tariff rate design, revenue requirements, and regulatory accounting, providing insights to Accounting, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Assist in preparing filings, true-up calculations, and tariff submissions, ensuring compliance with standards and timelines.
- Collaborate with business units to develop strategies in response to regulatory filings and orders impacting rates.
- Support the administration of current formula rate tariffs / templates and assist in training within the Regulatory department.
- Participate in process development for accurate posting of formula rates and related disclosures, working with subject matter experts.
- Stay informed on federal transmission rate initiatives, providing research and analysis on regulatory filings.
- Develop reports for management requests, performing economic analysis of regulatory alternatives.
- Apply fixed charge rates for use in formula rates, contracts, and cost-sharing agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) rules and regulations.
- Participate in meetings with regulators and stakeholders, supporting the development and review of regulatory rate filings.
- Lead administrative and strategic development efforts for regulatory filings as a case manager.
- Deliver presentations to regulators, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to research and analyze information.Financial modeling experience and knowledge of FERC USOA and GAAP accounting preferred.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.Understanding of FERC and state utility commission rules and regulations.Ability to manage multiple projects in a changing environment.Team player with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.Seniority level
