Patient Account Specialist

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (Oregon and Washington).

Key Responsibilities

Manage patient accounts by addressing payment options and resolving concerns to achieve zero-balance accounts

Screen patients for financial assistance eligibility and process related applications

Communicate with patients and third parties to obtain necessary documentation and secure payments

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work

Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field is preferred

Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred

Proficient in using computers and MS Office applications

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision
