  • Unit Size : 31 beds\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour days (5 : 00am – 5 : 30pm)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780 - $1910\n
  • Weekend / Holiday Requirements : Every other weekend and holiday\n
  • Charting System : Epic EMR\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Illinois RN license required\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience\n
  • Experience with EPIC charting system\n
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n
  • Valid Driver's License for submission\n
  • Preferred : Previous travel nurse experience\n

    • \n\nTelemetry RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver direct patient care for telemetry patients, including those with CHF, stroke, chest pain, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, detox, and cardiac conditions\n
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; collaborate with centralized tele tech support\n
  • Care for post-cath lab patients (radial band and femoral cath recoveries)\n
  • Administer medications and monitor set rate drips (Lasix, heparin, bumex, protonix, octreotide)\n
  • Work with nurse aides (1 : 10-12 ratio), team leads, and charge nurses\n
  • Float to medical floors or step-down units as needed for telemetry-level patient care\n
  • Document all care accurately in Epic EMR\n
  • Participate in unit-specific orientation (1 x 12-hour shift)\n
