Your role
The Financial Assistance Advisor plays a critical role in reducing financial risk for our institution by aiding students in managing their past due balances. As part of our Credit team, you will support students in finding solutions for their financial challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in proactive communication to assist in the collection of overdue accounts via phone and email, offering guidance to students and families on payment options and arranging payment plans.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, including designated calling campaigns.
- Support students and their families by adhering to SNHU’s culture and values, aiming to fulfil the university's mission.
- Be available to address incoming calls from students globally.
- Document all student interactions in the customer relationship management system.
- Collaborate with your team to foster a supportive work environment.
- Adapt to new responsibilities and changes in job tasks as necessary.
- Achieve monthly performance metrics and participate in call reviews.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with flexibility to adjust to changing needs.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma.Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (e.g., credit and collections, risk management, student affairs).Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in conflict management and de-escalation techniques.Technical skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.Work Schedule

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $39,913 to $63,870, with a target hiring range of $44,103 to $59,668, depending on qualifications and experience.
