Job descriptionJuly 1, 2025 October 1, 2025 (with possible extension) Patient Demographics : Pediatrics (primarily under age 12) Patient Volume / Census : patients / day in clinic, 5 6 / day in OR Admissions : No Rounding : Not Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Dental cleaning, cavities, crowns, extractions, full-mouth restorations No. of Beds in Department : TBD Trauma Level : Not Specified EMR System : Open Dental / Cerner Office Equipment Available : TBD Specialty Backup Available : Anesthesiologist or CRNA in OR Support Staff Available : Dental Assistant in OR Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Credentialing Timeline : 6 8 weeks Rate : Market Hourly Rate (clinic & OR), Fixed Night Call & 24hr Call Rates Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (airfare, lodging up to $150 / night, mileage, rental car) Extractions Full-mouth restorations Crown placement Licenses : Eligible for Pennsylvania dental license Board : Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry (No general dentists accepted) DEA : Not required Certifications : ACLS, PALS Experience : Minimum 1 year preferred; flexible on experience and certifications Other Qualifications : Sedation license, surgical / trauma experience preferred Supervise residents and provide clinical care at main hospital dental clinic Perform advanced dental procedures in OR at Children's North Surgery Center Provide potential emergency telephone call coverage Utilize light sedation in clinic and deep sedation in OR (with anesthesiology support) Collaborate with support staff to ensure optimal pediatric dental care
