Purpose Of Position
The Supply Planning Manager creates value through a definition and harmonization of all the process and methodologies related to inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, and best practices of implementation. Demonstrate leadership inside the organization, work on developing team members, work on upgrading existing skills and performance according to the performance objectives defined, act as department representative while supporting cross-functional activities. Define patterns among the different product configurations to support the creation of demand planning and forecasting process using different mathematical models of forecasting. Create consistency of demand and supply using S&OP process as main input and create supply visibility to the different stakeholders, linking the market with SC, to improve the reactiveness of the overall SC. Standardize the supply planning process at the different levels of the product granularity considering the different type of business managed by the Supply Chain. Interact with different departments inside the company such as Industrialization Engineering for alignment of information regarding new products, new parts, and design changes and deploy to the SIOP organization in order to guarantee the proper material management, phase-in, and phase-out. Optimize inventory management processes in order to avoid excess and obsolete parts. For the existing E&O parts, create an action plan and work together with other departments to evaluate consumption in order to reduce the total amount and manage better the free space on the warehouse. Be able to build a complete model of inventory analysis, elaborate formulas for safety stock definition based on mathematical model, ABC Classification and be able to identify and recommend to the Material Planning team the right levels of safety stocks, stocking strategy, buffers, MRP parameters on a part number level. Set the KPIs and the targets for the Demand Planning, Forecasting, and Inventory Management team. Experience in procurement management, delivery, MRP, and invoice of materials, and supplies for the supply chain organization. Mentor, coach, and manage of direct reports activities in order to achieve company objectives.
Major Responsibilities
Analyzes the demand coming from S&OP as main input; assures the correct master data set up for an automatic and reliable MRP run. Creates reporting for all the Material Planning organization in order to allow the Planner to run his / her job in an efficient way. Inventory analysis for all the portfolio to be distributed to all the Organization with corrective actions, in order to meet the target given by the group. Reports supplier purchase order performance and concerns to supporting Supply Chain teams. Reports status of purchase order delivery and purchase orders past delivery date. Supplier follow up. Reports status of stock material and stock part numbers to current inventory levels and purchase order delivery dates. Report regularly and drive all the department through the continuous improvement approach to bring Material Planning to the excellence. Participate as a team member in Industrialization of new and existing parts. Responsible to measure and report supplier on-time delivery performance. Supplier follow up. Responsible for assisting in the management of inventory value through inventory levels and E / O material. Maintain open communication with transparency to all internal and external Supply Chain member. Education / Experience : BS degree and five years' experience in Procurement / Production Control leadership roles or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires knowledge of corporate business interfaces and leadership experience with strong know-how in Planning of multinational company.
