Job description

Greet customers and escort them to tables.

Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about menu items.

Make recommendations for food and beverages.

Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Deliver food and drinks promptly and professionally.

Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals.

Remove finished plates and silverware.

Present checks and process payments (cash, card, etc.) accurately.

Clear and reset tables for the next guests.

Communicate orders clearly with kitchen and bar staff.

Coordinate with other servers and staff to ensure smooth service.

Inform the kitchen of any food allergies or special dietary needs.

Maintain a clean and organized dining area.

Perform side work, such as rolling silverware and polishing glasses.

Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude.

Get management involved when necessary to resolve issues.
