Senior Principal IPT HW Architect
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal IPT HW Architect to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history.
The Hardware Architect will be responsible for analyzing overarching needs and developing System Architecture solutions and concepts for various new and emerging capabilities, in collaboration with other architects. This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area or Redondo Beach, CA and requires a US Government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with Master's degree, 4 years of experience with PhD
- Demonstrated experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle and successfully supporting major reviews
- Demonstrated experience working with architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management
- Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML / MBSE)
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes, specifically system architecture
- Strong understanding of hardware design principles, computer architecture, and relevant technologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong technical briefing skills
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
- Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS / SCI w. Polygraph prior to start.
