Meadow Lake Surgery Center is looking for an experienced Certified Surgical Technician on a PRN basis. MLSC is a private, out-patient facility specializing in Plastic Surgery. If you are looking for a calm, enjoyable work environment, this is the place for you .

Primary Duties

  • Prepare the operating room
  • Assist the surgical team
  • Maintain a sterile field
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon
  • Prepare and handle specimens for laboratory analysis
  • Ensure all surgical equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist required- must have experience with open cases
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
  • Excellent analytical skills to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols
