Test Engineer

Location : Elmhurst, IL

Type of Role : Contract, could potentially go long term

Hourly Rate : $35-43 / hr

Sterling Engineering has partnered with a long term manufacturing client of ours with assistance on adding a Test Engineer to their testing lab. This is a great opportunity to be hands on and to get significant exposure in various technical arenas.

Job Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage for both new and existing product features.

Design, implement, debug, and support automated testing systems and frameworks.

Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues encountered during product testing.

Collaborate with product teams to design and implement effective test strategies and solutions.

Coordinate with design engineers to ensure test equipment is prepared for product releases.

Manage and enforce change control processes for all test-related hardware and software.

Validate and qualify test equipment, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and repeatability.

Promote testing excellence by championing best practices, methodologies, and a culture of quality.

Stay current with emerging testing tools, trends, and methodologies to continuously improve processes.

Qualifications :

• Experience with IOS App Testing
• Experience in Labview
• Ability to be on-site 5 days a week as needed
