Your Role as an Occupational Therapist :

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) , you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to :

  • Functional status and activities of daily living
  • Fine motor coordination
  • Home assessments and adaptive equipment
  • Other occupational therapy needs as defined by medical conditions
  • Your Responsibilities Include :

  • Providing services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Evaluating patients’ functional status and occupational therapy needs, while consulting with physicians to develop therapy plans.
  • Observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to treatment and any changes in their condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
  • Conducting assessments to evaluate functional ability through diagnostic and prognostic tests.
  • License Requirements :

  • Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
