Position Summary
The Regional Director of Clinical Services provides multi-site clinical leadership and strategic
support across a designated region of skilled nursing facilities. This position focuses on
strengthening nursing systems, promoting consistent clinical practices, and driving exceptional
resident outcomes. The Regional Director partners with facility nursing teams to ensure effective
use of clinical systems, foster professional development, and advance the organization’s
standards of care through coaching, collaboration, and innovation.
Qualifications
Education :
- Minimum of a 2-year nursing degree; BSN preferred.
- Experience :
- 5–7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in long-term care with emphasis
- on clinical operations, systems implementation, and nursing education.
- Multi-facility or regional experience preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and sustain effective clinical programs.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success mentoring and developing clinical leaders.
- Self-directed, organized, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (PointClickCare preferred) and clinical data analysis.
Essential Functions
Provide leadership and oversight of all regional clinical systems and programs, includingPointClickCare (PCC), Relias, nursing policy and procedure platforms, and other clinicalapplications.Evaluate and optimize clinical workflows to promote efficiency, consistency, and qualityoutcomes across facilities.Collaborate with facility Directors of Nursing and interdisciplinary teams to strengthennursing practice and enhance resident-centered care.Use clinical and quality data (e.g., wounds, falls, infections, rehospitalizations) to identifytrends, guide performance improvement, and drive evidence-based interventions.Partner with nursing leaders to implement and sustain standardized processes, caremodels, and clinical initiatives that support operational excellence.Provide hands-on support, mentoring, and education to facility leadership teams tostrengthen clinical competence and system utilization.Assist with the implementation of new technologies, training programs, and nursing toolsto improve care delivery and efficiency.Coordinate with the Chief Nursing Officer and Regional Operations team to align clinicalpriorities with company goals and initiatives.Facilitate educational sessions, webinars, and collaborative calls to promote learning andconsistency in nursing systems and practices.Support facilities in maintaining robust clinical communication, interdisciplinarycollaboration, and proactive management of resident needs.May be required to serve as an interim Director of Nursing (DON) to support facilityoperations during vacancies or transitions in leadership.Perform other related duties as assigned.Environmental and Physical Requirements
Regular walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and extended sitting required.Must be able to travel by car and / or air up to 50% of the time.Occasional exposure to clinical environments; adherence to company safety and infectioncontrol standards required.
