We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the financial and operational aspects of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. This position requires a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to driving financial excellence.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Lead the budgeting process and provide monthly variance analysis to track financial performance.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and treasury functions to maintain financial stability.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts, journal entries, and credit card transactions.
  • Supervise the invoicing process, accounts receivable / payable, and purchase order creation for construction projects.
  • Develop financial plans aligned with client contracts and project scopes to optimize profitability.
  • Design and implement internal controls to protect assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with operations and project management teams to monitor project profitability and financial documentation.
  • Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and benefits administration to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
  • Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing system enhancements is highly desirable.
