Special Programs Coordinator Community
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Special Programs Coordinator Community to join the Engagement team. This role is crucial in planning, executing, and managing a variety of charitable events and community initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, marketing, budgeting, and community engagement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Event Planning and Coordination :
Create detailed proposals for charitable events.
Collaborate with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) team to determine awareness events.Plan all aspects of events, including scheduling vendors and necessary parties, communication timelines, etc.Manage event budgets and oversee marketing efforts.Order supplies and host meetings with facilities, security, senior leadership, and internal communications teams.Serve as the point person for all questions and concerns related to the event.Execute events and conduct post-event recaps and organize documentation.UWM Sports Complex Community Events :Assist community partners with event planning.
Host meetings with facilities, security, and senior leadership.Create tasks and submit tickets for event needs.Fundraising :Create Stripe QR fundraising codes.
Oversee communication with internal teams for Stripe fundraising.Send reporting to teams during and after each fundraising event.Save fundraising figures and manage funds raised by teams.Oversee TMRG fundraising efforts.Community Wall / Community Art Wall :Collaborate with Internal Marketing on yearly updates to the community wall
Coordinate with team members and Internal Marketing for marketing assets and donations of art for Community Art Wall WallsWork with United Services for installation needs.Team Member Engagement :Conduct huddle visits and shadowing.
Coordinate the UWM Community Garden.Manage the Community@uwm mailbox.Provide event support to the Engagement Team.Take on additional projects from Senior Community Outreach Specialist and Senior Leadership as required.Assist with the VPTO queue when needed.What We Need From You
Must Qualifications :
Proven experience in event planning and coordination.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Experience with budgeting and marketing.Proficiency in creating content and scheduling marketing posts.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Experience with fundraising and using tools like Stripe is a plus.High school diploma required.1+ year(s) of previous applicable experience preferredThe Place & The Perks
