We are seeking a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong background in AWS cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Office 365 administration, and a solid understanding of NIST 800-53 Rev 5 security controls. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and securing cloud environments in compliance with federal frameworks such as IL4, CMMC, and NIST 800-171. This role bridges operations, security, and automation, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and compliance of cloud systems and services.

What You'll Do :

Cloud Operations & Reliability

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in AWS , ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Manage CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation .
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency using AWS-native tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty) and third-party solutions.
  • Implement automated recovery, scaling, and patch management processes to enhance system resilience.

Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Administer and secure Microsoft Office 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD.
  • Configure and monitor identity and access management (IAM), conditional access policies, and MFA enforcement.
  • Support integration of O365 with AWS and other SaaS solutions to streamline productivity and collaboration.
  • Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security controls aligned with NIST 800-53 Rev 5 frameworks.
  • Assist in achieving and maintaining compliance with CMMC , NIST 800-171 , and DoD IL4 environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability management, system hardening, and incident response in line with compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to develop policies, procedures, and audit documentation.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Federal Security Clearance
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (infrastructure design, automation, monitoring, cost optimization).
  • Solid understanding of EKS or Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration.
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 Rev 5, CMMC, and NIST 800-171 frameworks.
  • Proficiency in scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
  • Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and system hardening best practices.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Certifications :

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator
  • Microsoft 365 Certified : Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP
