About The Role

Checkr is hiring a Senior SEO & AEO Manager to architect and scale our next chapter of organic growth across new and legacy search environments. This role reports to the Website & SEO Manager and will own our B2B AI search strategy, supporting SEO & AEO strategy across Checkr’s products and brands.

You will own, design, and execute our technical SEO strategy—covering log file analytics, crawl / index management, structured data, and AI-driven automation. The ideal candidate has deep B2B growth experience and hands-on AEO / LLM expertise, bringing AI / AEO rigor to unlock growth.

Responsibilities

Crawl & log file analysis — Track and interpret bot behavior (Google, ChatGPT, etc.) via server logs to surface crawl inefficiencies and prioritize opportunities.

Indexation & site structure — Engineer site architecture, canonicalization, XML sitemaps, and robots directives for optimal crawlability.

Schema & structured data — Design and deploy schema markup to increase rich results and AEO discoverability.

Performance optimization — Collaborate with development to improve page speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, and technical settings.

Automation & tools — Develop workflows and tools (e.g., AirOps, GPTs) to scale audits, QA, and performance insights.

Cross-functional collaboration — Partner with engineering, content, and product teams to embed SEO / AEO standards.

Community & platform support — Advise on off-site channels for content structure, metadata, and link strategy.

Qualifications

Deep technical SEO expertise, from log insights to site architecture.

B2B growth focus, prioritizing revenue-impact projects.

AI fluency, including prompting and LLM understanding.

Data proficiency with GA4, Search Console, BI tools; SQL / Python a plus.

Performance mindset, understanding website speed metrics.

Operator mindset, building scalable systems.

Strong collaborator, effective communicator, cross-functional partner.

Checkr supports a hybrid work environment with locations in Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Santiago, Chile. Expect to work in-office 3 days a week. Salary range for Denver is $123,000 to $145,000. We value transparency and disclose salary ranges in our postings.
