Responsibilities
ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Enclosure Associate III to join our Southwest Facilities team in Houston, TX. In this role, you'll lead projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.
- Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
- Management of projects including but not limited to :
- Inspections of building enclosures
- Building Enclosure Testing
- Building Enclosure Assessments
- Air Leakage Testing
- Construction Quality Assurance Observations
- Roofing Assessments
- Design Specification Review
- Field Performance Testing
- Building Enclosure commissioning consulting
- Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
- Occasional field and laboratory testing
- Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
- Preparing reports and proposals
- Maintaining and develop a client database
- Managing budgets and prepare invoices
- Mentoring other staff
- Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE
Qualifications
B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college / university preferred2+ years of relevant building facilities consulting experience requiredLicensed or certified as at least one of the following preferred :Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) offered RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP, or University of Wisconsin-Madison offered BECxP and CxA+BE
