Data Architect

Overview

As a Data Architect within Oracle’s Consumer Global Industries Unit, you will shape the blueprint for an advanced data platform that brings together siloed data sources and activates AI / ML-powered insights across industry-specific use cases. You will be responsible for defining data models and architectures that ensure data is collected, stored, structured, and accessed optimally to support diverse business initiatives within Oracle Industry Applications. You will play a key role in selecting fit-for-purpose data technologies—including data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics services—and setting policies to uphold data governance, quality, and security. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into reliable and innovative data solutions. Expertise in cloud-based data services (AWS, OCI, Azure) is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7 years’ experience in data architecture, with proven success designing large-scale enterprise data platforms.
• Expertise in data modeling, data integration, and advanced analytics architectures.
• Hands-on experience implementing solutions using enterprise data storage (warehouses / lakes), data pipelines, and AI / ML integrations.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Kafka, Java, Scala) with experience in distributed data processing technologies (e.g. Spark, Databricks, Apache Beam)
• Deep knowledge of cloud data ecosystems on AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and / or Azure; familiarity with their native data and AI / ML services.
• Experience implementing medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layer concepts) for structured, scalable, and high-quality data management.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, security, and compliance best practices; experience in regulated industries is a plus.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools for data modeling, ETL / ELT, data cataloging, and metadata management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and mentor technical teams.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional and global environments.

US : Hiring Range in USD from : $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
