Transform Lives Through Communication in Enchanting Virginia - Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Could your next career opportunity serve a greater purpose-one that truly amplifies voices? In Richmond, Virginia, your role as a Speech Language Pathologist will do more than just tackle communication and swallowing impairments. You will be the key to unlocking the potential within individuals, nurturing their confidence, and weaving connections that matter-from children stepping into a world of words to older adults reclaiming their autonomy.

This dynamic position allows you to impact a variety of patients across all age groups within a setting that seamlessly intertwines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in guiding toddlers, addressing neurogenic communication challenges in adults, or assisting seniors with cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you'll discover an arena where your expertise truly satisfies both your heart and your schedule.

  • Design tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while also focusing on long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.

  • Partner with physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to ensure progress extends beyond therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining seamless continuity of care throughout every patient's journey.
  • Ensure precise and timely documentation that meets all federal, state, and organizational standards.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth and stay informed of the latest developments in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

  • Completed Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • If not ASHA-certified, successfully finished a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Certifications

  • Possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Skills

  • Expertise in evidence-backed therapy methods for all age groups, with a comprehensive grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary health teams.
  • Adaptability in therapy technique implementation, catering to varying cultural and language backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
  • Benefits

  • Attractive compensation based on experience.
  • Flexible work hours allowing for a satisfying work-life balance with a diverse patient load.
  • Options for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
  • Support for continuing education reimbursement and professional growth.
  • Team-oriented culture emphasizing high-quality care and lifelong learning.
  • A Career Path That Inspires Movement - and Moves You

Here, your role goes beyond providing speech therapy; you will be integral to a mission that values restoration of voices, enhancement of communication, and the delight that comes from the simple yet profound acts of understanding and connecting.

You'll collaborate with colleagues who cherish one another like family, all within an environment that prioritizes teamwork over competition. Every client brings a unique narrative, and we trust you to help articulate their story.

If you see a gentle child and envision a path towards eloquence, or hear the hesitant speech of a stroke patient and identify resilience and hope, we want to meet you.

You could be a pediatric therapist wanting to broaden your skills into adult care-or a neuro-focused clinician eager to embrace early intervention as part of your expertise.

If your mission aligns with serving compassionately while leading with expertise, we're eager to welcome you into our community.

Let's Craft Meaningful Communication - Together

If you hold the belief that speech transcends mere sounds, and therapy represents more than just tasks-if you value establishing trust as deeply as setting goals and find joy in the journey as much as the destination-this could very well be your next career chapter.

Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to start anew. Seize the opportunity to apply today and use your voice to empower others to find theirs.
