Exciting Locum Tenens Opportunity : Oncology Physician near Wilton, IA

Are you a skilled Oncology Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in Iowa? We have an exciting position available near Wilton, IA, offering Monday to Friday coverage from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. Reference Job ID when applying for this rewarding opportunity!

MANDATED Job Requirements :

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 0-5 years of residency) - Required - ABMS or AOA
  • Active IA license - Required (candidates without a license will be redirected)
  • Must be available for the requested April shifts listed above
  • Local candidates within driving distance - Preferred
  • COVID Vaccine - Required, note at the time of name clear

    • Job Description :

  • No weekends, no call
  • 100% Outpatient coverage, addressing critical labs (hospitalists manage inpatients)
  • Patient population : adult and geriatric
  • 70% oncology, 30% hematology, 0% IM
  • Average of 20 patients per day
  • Trauma level 3
  • Reason for coverage : provider is leaving
  • EMR : Cerner (Epic FY24)
  • Required procedures : management of VAD / CV catheters, order tests, order images, prescribe meds
  • Administration of chemotherapy : nurse oncologist; Admission of patients : Hospitalists
  • Client is preferring local candidates - they will be putting preference on this when reviewing submissions
