This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Manager / Lead Engineer for our Glastonbury, Connecticut office. Be involved in regional, multi-year transportation projects with our Civil Team .
The role involves serving as key leader for a major transportation program management assignment. The successful candidate will possess extensive project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
Provide leadership to ensure infrastructure projects and programs are delivered with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
Responsible for subject matter expertise, innovation and administration, ensuring corporate compliance with all Local, State, and Federal engineering, construction, and safety regulations.
Your Impact
- Manage and oversee the work of large multi-discipline design and / or program management teams.
- Routinely interface with traditional Owner clients and other project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project teams to deliver within budget and schedule.
- Assist in business development activities to identify, track and position the firm for upcoming opportunities.
- Participate in technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentations, and meetings.
- Drive compliance and accountability with applicable Federal, State, and Local engineering / design / construction laws.
- Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Collaborate with professionals from a variety of disciplines to provide future-ready solutions for clients.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Civil, Structural or engineering related discipline or Construction Management.
- Minimum 7 years of project management / construction engineering experience.
- Connecticut Professional Engineer license or ability to acquire the same within 6 months.
- Experience managing tasks on large, multi-discipline design and / or program management teams.
- Experience with transportation or transit projects.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience working on CTDOT Highway / Bridge / Transit design projects.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
