Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder to perform accurate coding and billing services within the billing department.

Key Responsibilities

Review documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes

Clarify documentation or diagnosis by communicating with the physician

Ensure department goals are met and assist with verifying patient eligibility and resolving denied claims

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of one year experience with physician coding

AAPC Credential : Minimum certification of a CPC, or AHIMA certification, or in pursuit of certification

Proficiency with Microsoft product suite and Internet
