Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Teller I is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently processing financial transactions and maintaining compliance with all Bank policies and procedures. This role contributes to customer experience by providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service while identifying opportunities to refer customers to appropriate banking products or services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
Transaction Processing & Customer Service
- Portray a positive company image through professional and friendly customer interactions
- Listen actively to customer inquiries to determine appropriate service actions
- Refer customer questions regarding products or services to the appropriate team member
- Accurately process a variety of customer transactions, issuing receipts and maintaining detailed records
- Cash checks and pay out funds after verifying signatures, balances, and other account information
- Maintain daily balancing of cash drawer using counting machines or manual verification
Cash Handling & Operational Support
Receive and count daily inventories of cash and drafts; order cash as needed to meet branch demandMonitor vault and ATM balances to ensure accuracy and securityPerform special customer services in accordance with Bank policiesProcess deposits and contributions, including term deposits, IRAs, night deposits, and automated teller transactionsCount, verify, and post armored car depositsIdentify and resolve discrepancies or errors in transactions or accountsArrange currency and coin in drawers according to denominationCompose and mail customer correspondence regarding account discrepancies and unpaid itemsSales & Referrals
Explain and promote Bank products and services tailored to individual customer needsIdentify opportunities to refer customers for additional financial services and productsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
