Key Job Details – Med / Surg RN Location : York, PA 17408 (Pennsylvania healthcare jobs) Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : December 8, 2025 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (3 shifts / week, 36 hours / week) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,720 - $1,840 On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Pennsylvania RN preferred) BLS Certification (required before first shift) ACLS Certification (required before first shift) Minimum 2 years of recent clinical bedside experience in Med / Surg or acute care Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to identify teaching needs and care goals Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission Communicate changes in patient status to healthcare team members to ensure continuity and safety Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, following hospital safety policies Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Apply now to join our healthcare team in York, PA and take the next step in your nursing career!
