Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., a leader in fire protection solutions, is seeking a talented Research & Development Engineer to join our engineering team focused on the design and advancement of fire sprinkler heads and related technologies. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong mechanical background, hands-on design experience, and a passion for innovation in life-safety products.

How You Will Help

• Lead and support the design, development, and testing of new fire sprinkler products, with emphasis on pressure dynamics, water flow, and sealing technologies.
• Apply solid mechanical engineering principles to design components that meet rigorous safety, performance, and compliance standards.
• Create, refine, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and documentation using solid modeling tools (flexibility regarding specific CAD platforms).
• Conduct laboratory and field testing, analyze results, and recommend design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and regulatory affairs to ensure product designs are production-ready and compliant with industry standards (UL, FM, NFPA, etc.).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives on existing product lines.
• Stay current on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
