Job description

Medical Assistant

As an Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for documenting physician visits in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. You will scribe for multiple physicians, assist them with instruments as requested, perform work-ups after doctor visits with patients, and communicate with patients based on the documented plans provided by doctors.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Experience with patient care.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Experience in medical documentation and data entry.
  • Knowledge in ophthalmology and healthcare.
  • Typing skills.
  • Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of patient care.
  • Work Environment

    The role operates Monday through Friday. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back. This role offers opportunities for career progression into clinical research, with an annual $500 continued education allowance.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
