Make Precision Happen
Join our team in Groveland, MA or Newburyport, MA. You will produce precision components to tight customer specifications and keep quality front and center with in-process inspection. Those stepping into a lead capacity will coordinate the turning or milling area, schedule work, troubleshoot, program, and partner on first piece inspections.
Core Responsibilities
- Machine turning / lathe / mill / mill -turn product to customer prints using CNC programs
- Perform in-process inspections to print callouts and deburr per requirements
- Maintain part identification and lot segregation
- Detect, segregate, and report non-conforming material and foreign object debris (FOD)
- Control non-conforming material and complete required documentation
- Accurately report any damaged / nonconforming parts to team leaders / Manager
- Complete all documentation and job travelers accurately
- Assist with packaging and shipping parts
- Comply with AS9100D and customer-specific requirements
- Report any safety issues encountered during normal job activities
Lead-Focused Duties (when applicable)
Oversee and schedule work in the turning or milling areaTroubleshoot machining / programming issuesProgram, perform upgrades, and verify outcomes of changesCoordinate and support first piece inspections with the turning or milling leadCompetencies

Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancingBrown and Sharpe Micro-Val CMM experience (plus)CMM Manager software experience (plus)Use of inspection tools : dial indicators, gage blocks, micrometersEffective communication and math skillsFamiliar with an AS9100 shop environmentTraining & Education
Familiarity with Jet Machined Products inspection forms and record keeping practicesAS9100 awarenessHigh School diploma or GED (vocational or non-vocational)Reporting
Reports to the turning / milling lead; if serving as lead, reports to the General Manager.
Physical Demands & Environment
Must be able to lift and move machined partsClean, relatively quiet workspace; hearing protection required in some areasEye hazard potential; eye protection required for certain operationsOvertime
Occasional overtime, workload dependent.
