Description :
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry.
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specified specialty.
The nurse will work day shifts, for three consecutive 12-hour shifts per week.
The nurse must be able to manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5 or 1 : 6.
The unit has a post-operative focus but also encounters other medical diagnoses.
Telemetry capability is available, with monitor techs overseeing patient telemetry.
The role may involve contact with patients affected by COVID-19.
Scrubs are not provided; nurses are expected to wear navy blue scrubs.
The nurse is required to cover weekends and perform holiday shifts.
Experience with the Cerner charting system is preferred.
The role involves various nursing skills, including blood product administration, central line care, and telemetry monitoring.
Nurses will have interdisciplinary support from various teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
Two supervisor references are required for the application process.
