Job Summary :

A Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a highly skilled and Certified OB Tech to join the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit for a 13-week contract. This role requires a proficient surgical services professional who is dedicated to supporting the L&D team, primarily assisting during C-sections and other obstetric procedures. The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to a rotating 12-hour shift schedule and possess excellent skills for a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements & Scheduling :

  • Shift : 3x12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Day : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM and Night : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM).
  • Duration : 13 Weeks

    • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend is required.

  • Floating : Floating will be required as needed.
  • Block Schedules : Not Allowed.
  • Guaranteed Hours : Typically 36 hours per week.
  • Local Policy : Locals are not accepted. Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification : MUST BE A CERTIFIED TECH (CST) to be considered.
  • Experience : A minimum of 1 year of experience in Surgical Services is required.
  • Travel Experience : First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Licensure : New York State license is required in hand at the time of submission.
  • EMR Proficiency : EPIC experience is a hard requirement.

    • Compensation & Financial Details

  • Orientation : 16 hours of orientation.
  • Return Staff Policy : Return staff considered after 1 year away from the facility.
