Description :
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the processing and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
Experience in sterile processing in an acute hospital setting is essential.
Candidates should be knowledgeable about aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
Familiarity with equipment documentation and the proper selection of wrapping materials is crucial.
The technician will be expected to organize and assemble sets and trays efficiently.
Understanding the use of washers and sterilizers is necessary for this role.
Proper labeling and monitoring of sterilization processes are key responsibilities.
This position does not require weekend, call, or holiday commitments.
Travelers are encouraged to demonstrate their knowledge during phone interviews.
While certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory for consideration.
