Mid-Level Operations Support – Aegis STO Fleet Reachback

We have an immediate opening for a Mid-Level Operations Support to support Commander Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting in Dahlgren, VA. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth. Salary based on relative experience and education.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide analytic support for operational reach back requirements leading the Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Analysis (RFAs) process. Aid warfighters in real world operational support as requested by COCOMs, Numbered Fleet Commanders, CSG / ESG staffs, and ships to address new threat assessments and / or adversary's capability improvements, or changes in blue force weapon's employment.
- Provide real-time operational assistance and tactical expertise to deployed surface ships and strike groups. Evaluate, assess, and contribute in the RFI / RFA review process in order to support recommendations with and from technical, analytical and other operational organizations (e.g., NAVSEA, JHU / APL, and NAWDC). Develop, edit, modify, validate and / or verify RFI / RFA response products.
- Participate in advanced tactical training efforts, including working with Warfare Tactics Instructors (WTIs) and mentors, aiding Sailors and watch teams as they refine their Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs). Develop, edit, and validate tactical documentation, training materials, and TTPs.
- Evaluate and assess new combat systems and supporting capabilities. Determine technical and operational viability throughout the testing and experimentation process. Assess current operational readiness levels and document operational and technical discrepancies during the transition of a weapon system through the capability development and transition process.
- Maintain status of day-to-day Fleet Operations. Track fleet operations, employment schedules, casualty reports (CASREPs), and training and readiness levels. Review and monitor Fleet operations to include employment schedules, deployed operations tasking, fleet requirements, training and readiness levels and casualty reports to inform the Lines of Operations (LOOs) for the SMWDC staff.
- Data analysis : Using quantitative and qualitative methods to assess combat readiness and performance.
- Conduct and maintain high levels of Interagency coordination. Work with different Navy and Department of War (DoW) organizations, such as NAVSEA and the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) to enhance warfighter engagement and provide operational support to the Fleet.
- Provide expertise of Operations Research methodologies, policies, and procedures in order to conduct analysis of SMWDC mission. Provide support to operational and tactical guidance development.
Requirements :
Possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and TS / / SCI eligible.A minimum of 15 years of military experience, and / or relevant industry and / or government experience with the surface navy's combat systems, C5I, networks, weapons systems and IAMD planning systems.Seven (7) years of experience aboard Navy cruisers or destroyers acting in the capacity of a System Test Officer or Combat System Maintenance Manager.Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC).Possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter.Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations.Experience in post weapons firing mission analysis of Aegis weapon systems.
