About the Role

As a Veterinary Medical Director , you will oversee the delivery of clinical excellence while supporting, mentoring, and leading the veterinary team. You will work closely with operational leadership to ensure high-quality patient care, implement medical protocols, and enhance hospital performance across the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor veterinarians and support staff to foster a culture of clinical excellence
  • Develop and implement medical protocols, standards, and quality assurance programs
  • Maintain an active clinical caseload while guiding the overall medical team
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, provide constructive feedback, and ensure continuous quality improvements
  • Serve as a client-facing medical authority for complex cases and strategic initiatives

    • Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) degree required
  • Current state veterinary license and DEA registration in good standing
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience highly desirable
  • Strong clinical, communication, and team-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with ability to drive process and quality improvements
  • Compassionate professional committed to the highest standards of patient care
