Job descriptionAssess each call situation to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize your Paramedic skills with medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids. Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones, providing reassurance and information about the care being given. Act as the Paramedic team leader, taking responsibility for scene and unit management as needed. Drive the ambulance during 911 responses, ensuring safe and timely transport. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as your fellow Paramedics. Engage in community programs to enhance AMR's image and build strong community relations. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). State Paramedic License. State Driver’s License. BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications. Driving record in compliance with company policy. Pass Physical Agility Test. Some work experience, preferably in healthcare. Paid Shift Differentials. Enhanced Holiday Pay. Paid Training. Paid Wellness Days. Generous PTO Accruals.
