Job Overview
Responsible for the safe maintenance of the designated turf and track racing areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates machinery for the maintenance and care of the racetrack.
- Perform a variety of physically demanding labor on a routine basis and in compliance with all safety standards.
- Ensure general cleanliness of stable and garage area. Clean stalls, alleys, and other backside areas in order to maintain suitable appearance and sanitation standards of facility.
- Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
- Complete all work assignments on time and with accuracy.
- Operate small equipment mower, blower, weed eater, power washer, and a variety of hand tools, table saw, etc. to perform a variety of tasks.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred and / or 1-2 years minimum of related experience.Able to work legally in the United States.English fluency required, bilingual a plus.Requires the skill and ability to perform physically demanding labor on a routine basis.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Must be tolerant to outside work in extreme weather conditions such as heat and humidity, which may often contain dust and debris.Physical Demands and Work Environment
