POSITION SUMMARY : As a Controls Engineer, he / she is responsible for complete outcome of the assigned projectasrelatestotheengineeringdeliverableswhichincludescorrectandaccurate release that meet the timelines and budgets agreed to at the release meetings.

DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES :

Develop,modify,andupdatePLCprogrammingforeachassignment
Readandinterprettechnicaldrawings,schematics,orcomputer-generatedreports.
ManagetheprocessofengineeringreleasesincludingdrawingsandbillsofmaterialstomeetAsSold expectations.
Developthenecessarydrawingsand / orschematicsutilizingANSI,ASEEandothernationallyrecognized standards.
Preparecompletereleasepackagesthatmeetdeliverablesandcommitments.
Reviewanyassignmentsgiventootherstocompleteforaccuracyand timeliness.
Research,design,evaluate,orincorporateelectricalproducts,equipment,systems,orprocessestomeet requirements.
Conferwithengineersorotherpersonneltoimplementoperatingprocedures,resolvesystemmalfunctions,or provide technical information.
DevelopanddocumentSequenceofOperation(SOP),CycleTimeAnalysis(CTA),andotherdocumentsto ensure the designs meet the requirements.
Develop,coordinate,ormonitorallaspectsofdesign,includingselectionofcomponents.
Investigateequipmentfailuresordifficultiestodiagnosefaultyoperationandrecommendremedialactions.
Developortestmodelsofalternatedesignsorprocessingmethodstoassessfeasibility,sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.
Respondtomanufacturingquestionsregardingreleasesandprojectsgoingthroughmanufacturing.
Specifysystemcomponentsordirectmodificationofproductstoensureconformancewithengineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations.
Recommenddesignmodificationstoeliminatemachineorsystemmalfunctions.
Assistothersinthedepartmentindevelopingthedrawings,designs,sub-assemblies,andassemblies,using computer-assisted drafting equipment or software.
Overseeinstallation,operation,maintenance,orrepairtoensurethatmachinesorequipmentareinstalled and functioning according to specifications.
ParticipateinandleadallFAT’s(internalandcustomers).
Providefeedbacktodesignengineersoncustomerproblemsorneeds.
Researchandanalyzecustomerdesignproposals,specifications,manuals,orotherdatatoevaluatethe feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Estimatecosts(materials,engineeringhours,etc.)tosubmittoSalesandApplicationswhenrequested.
Recommendtheuseofutilityorenergyservicesthatminimizecarbonfootprints.
Evaluatemechanicaldesignsorprototypesforenergyperformanceorenvironmentalimpact.
Writeperformancerequirementsforproductdevelopmentorengineeringprojects.
Travelasnecessarytocustomersites.
Providetechnicalservicetoexistingandfuturecustomers.
Performcloseoutreviewofallshippedprojectsandensureasbuiltdrawingsanddocumentations are updated.
Helpevaluatepotentialprojectstoensurewelowertheriskandincreasethepotentialforsuccess.
Performanyothertaskorassignments asdesignatedbythepresident.

EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE :

Aminimumofabachelor’sdegree(B.A.)inelectricalengineeringfromafour-yearcollegeoruniversityor equivalent experience.

Aminimumoffourtofiveyears’experienceinanengineering-to-orderorOEMorganization.

Aminimumoffivetosevenyears’experiencedevelopingPLCprogramsforAllenBradley productsisamust and other manufacturers’ products is a bonus

Experiencewithconveyingsystems,fillers,labelers,palletizers,depalletizersandotherpackagingequipment

Demonstratableexperienceinmakingdecisions,solvingproblems,developingdesigns,andworkingon complex and difficult projects.

Maintaincurrentknowledgeofcompetitivetechnologiesand offerings.
