Respiratory Therapist (CRT / RRT)
Job Summary : Seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The RT will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, and management of patients with cardio-pulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities under medical direction. This role will primarily focus on critical care areas and other wards, with opportunities to assist in new therapist orientation and assume charge responsibilities when needed.
Schedule :
- 3 – 12.5-hour shifts will rotate weekends and holidays. Will rotate between day and night shifts – will not consider candidates that can’t rotate between day and night shifts.
Day shift – 7am-8pm, night shift – 7pm-7 : 30am

Evaluate patients daily to assess therapy effectiveness and appropriatenessAssume charge responsibilities based on departmental needsAssign workload equitably and prioritize patient careConduct patient education and training for effective self-therapy post-dischargeDocument patient information accurately in medical recordsDemonstrate proficiency in operating and maintaining respiratory therapy equipmentAttend continuing education classes and seminars to maintain clinical expertiseComplete other tasks assigned by the Manager of Respiratory & Pulmonary ServicesQualifications :
Graduated from an accredited program in Respiratory TherapyHold a current Connecticut State license as a Respiratory Care PractitionerRegistered / Certified by the National Board for Respiratory CareCertification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation ProgramAPPLY NOW!
