A Day in the Life :

The Plant Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the grain elevator facility in Destrehan LA including diagnostics troubleshooting and repair of equipment and instruments. This role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food maintain a food safety culture within the site continually improve the sites food safety management system and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

Position Details :

Schedule : Monday through Friday 7 : 00am 3 : 00pm with overtime

Rate of pay : $31.49 an hour

What Youll Be Doing :

• Preventative maintenance including cleaning lubrication part replacement of plant equipment
• Welding and cutting using a torch : tig mig and stick on piping and structural
• Rigging and using cables and slings
• Sheet metal layouts
• Assembly and installation of bearings on shafts
• Alignment of motors and gearboxes
• Parts lubrication and other maintenance tasks
• Regular inspections of grain equipment
