Job description

Associate Labor Relations Analyst

Only open to current full-time annually paid Parks employees serving in the Associate Labor Relations Analyst civil service title or on leave from the title or Parks employees who are reachable on the Associate Labor Relations Analyst civil service list, Exam No. 3555 or 3085.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Supervise all aspects of Employee Engagement.
  • Assist with administering stay interviews and / or surveys in the various divisions across the Agency.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to existing programs and coordinate project management for new initiatives.
  • Maintain employee engagement materials and draft correspondence.
  • Initiate and coordinate meetings.

Work Location : Arsenal West, Manhattan

Minimum Qualifications :

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business or public administration, economics, labor or industrial relations, statistics, industrial psychology or a closely related social science field and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in labor research and analysis, employee benefit design and benefit program evaluation, compensation analysis, labor economics, economic planning, or a related area; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of professional experience as described in "1" above; or
  • Education and / or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Excellent writing and editing skills. Ability to compile, prepare and analyze reports using electronic databases.
  • Experience in organizational development or human resource management.
  • Experience working with and motivating staff from all career levels.
  • Strong time management, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and discretion and work collaboratively with others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
