About The Position

Florence, South Carolina UroHospitalist Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical Services is leading the charge with an outstanding locum tenens opportunity for a Board Certified Urologist to provide UroHospitalist coverage in Florence, SC. This renowned Level 1 Trauma Center is seeking the best candidates to add their skills to their program in 2025. This is a chance to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment at a well-regarded facility offering exceptional care and advanced technology.

Opportunity Specifics

Contract Type : Locum Tenens
Role : UroHospitalist
Schedule : 24-hour call coverage, including rounding, procedures, and consults
Support : Credentialing, Scheduling, Travel / Lodging
Compensation : Above Market Rate w / Weekly Pay
Malpractice : AAA Rated w / 10-yr tail coverage

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver high-quality inpatient urology care, including rounding, consults, and procedures.

Perform standard urology procedures such as :

Stone care, stent placement, catheterization, and cystoscopies

Endourology procedures and laparoscopic surgeries

Trauma and open procedures , including management of kidney / testicular gunshot wounds, bladder repair, torsions, and adrenal surgeries

Manage a weekend inpatient census of 20-25 patients and address 15-20 consults during the same timeframe.

Respond promptly to trauma cases and emergencies in a fast-paced setting.

Facility Details :

The assignment takes place at a busy, high-acuity facility in Florence, SC, equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center , handling a wide range of complex cases.

EMR : EPIC

No Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support on weekends.

Qualifications

Board Certification in Urology (ABU or AOBU required).

Active South Carolina medical license (including SC CSR and DEA).

Experience and comfort with trauma and open urology procedures.

Availability for specific coverage dates listed below.

April 28 - May 12

May 29 - June 6

June 30 - August 4

August 21 - September 8

September 18 - September 22

September 29 - October 6

October 16 - November 3

November 13 - December 1

December 12 - January 5
