Temp Assignment - 3 months to 1 year

Pay Rate Range : $42.31 - $50.00 / hour (depending on experience). Will negotiate higher pay with the right candidate.

1st Shift

Monday-Friday, occasional evening / weekend overtime. 5 am to 8 am start time

Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Engineer III)

• Skills need to be mature, with Sr level experience minimal

o Advanced knowledge of Mechanical Engineering

o Proficient in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks

o Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably ANSYS

o Ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving

o Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion

o Ability to explain a range of technical information

o Excellent communicator – can sell concepts to people at all levels in the organization, including engineers.

o Flexible and adaptable to change

o Assets : Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP

o Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

o Proficient organizational skills and the ability to prioritize according to urgency while remaining flexible to changing situations

o Self-motivated

o Detail-oriented

o Able to manage multiple, concurrent priorities

Position Summary

The Mechanical department provides Mechanical Engineering expertise for all phases of product development, from design through production. Applies expertise in Mechanical Engineering in various aspects of the development of electronic components for aerospace applications. For Engineering, the Senior Mechanical Engineer provides this expertise to development and sustaining projects : addressing design of mechanical packaging for electronics, mechanical analysis, design and qualification testing, and creation of design and program documentation.

Responsibilities

o Electronic Packaging Design of Aerospace Hardware

o CAD design, 3D and 2D (sheet metal, machined parts, plastic parts, castings)

o Drawing packages (including 2D CAD drawings)

o Weight analysis

o Assembly documents

o BOM part selections

o Engineering Change Orders

o Building of prototypes

o Perform mechanical and environmental testing

o FEA Analysis (Structural and Thermal)

o Technical Reports

o Other Mechanical Design related Output items

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

Certifications : None Required

Years of Experience : 8 years of relevant experience
